What is the purpose of the interview day?

Remember, the interview day is as much for you to take a look at our program as it is for us to get to know you beyond what we see on paper. If you made it to the interview, we saw something in you that excited us so, relax and absorb as much as you can from your interview day.

What will my virtual interview look like?

You will choose between a morning and afternoon session (they include the same components). Before your interview day, you will receive an email with information about our program, including an Internal Medicine Residency Applicant Acknowledgement Form acknowledging that you received the documents. Please be sure to electronically sign the acknowledgment form.

Each interview will be held via Zoom. Each session will consist of a welcome and brief introduction, interviews with faculty members, designated time to interact with current residents, future chief residents, program administrators, and the program director(s). We expect you to be on Zoom for the entirety of your interview half day, but there will be times when we communicate that it is okay to turn off your camera and step away for breaks.

What should I wear?

Please treat this as a normal interview. Business attire is expected.

Where should I be sitting?

Please place yourself in a comfortable, well-lit room with minimal background noise and distractions. Your camera should be placed directly in front of you.
